Lazy Man’s Banana Crepe

April 29, 2010

During the course of the evening, I felt motivated to continue on with the dessert theme and whip up these little “crepes”. Using tortillas that I already had in the house made it the perfect creation for my mood.

  • small flour fajita tortilla
  • 1/2 a banana, sliced in half long ways
  • a couple chocolate chips
  • about a tsp of butter
  • a dash of cinnamon
  • Homemade Chocolate Sauce! (recipe to follow)

Place bananas in skillet along with butter and allow to caramelize a bit. Skoot over the bananas after a couple minutes and fry up the tortilla until it’s just a little bit browned. Plop those banana slices on top of the tortilla, add just a dash of cinnamon, and then toss a couple chocolate chips on top. The heat melts up the chocolate all nicely, but they’re extra good when you add the homemade chocolate sauce that I whipped up from a recipe that I will post shortly.

Try ’em out and enjoy.
